Couples & Individual Therapist Serving PA & VA

As a therapist

Transitioning into parenthood, pregnancy, or family planning can be joyful yet challenging. These life stages often bring emotional shifts, evolving roles, and changes in your relationship dynamics. You may feel disconnected from your partner, overwhelmed by new responsibilities, or uncertain how to stay connected amidst the stress. Therapy can help you feel seen, understood, and supported while creating a space that is safe, steady, and nonjudgmental.

In our work together, you can expect thoughtful conversation, honest reflection, and a therapist who is compassionately direct. I believe in meeting you with care while also providing clarity and guidance, helping you gently but intentionally examine the patterns and challenges that may be affecting your relationship and emotional well-being. My goal is to help you gain insight, strengthen connection, and make meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of where you are.

I specialize in working with couples navigating relationship stress, communication breakdowns, conflict, and life transitions related to family planning, pregnancy, and postpartum adjustment along with couples in high stress careers. We explore patterns that keep repeating in your relationship or inner world, gently naming what is happening, asking thoughtful questions, and learning new ways to respond rather than repeat old cycles. As these patterns become clearer, we practice intentional strategies for healthier connection with yourself and your partner.

I also offer focused support during the postpartum period. Parenthood can bring identity shifts, emotional overwhelm, and changes in how couples relate to each other. Therapy during this time provides grounding, validation, and guidance to navigate these transitions while strengthening your partnership. Together, we work on emotional well-being, communication, and confidence as you adapt to new life stages.

My approach is collaborative, individualized, and grounded. I integrate family systems therapy, structural family therapy, and emotion-focused couples therapy to address relationship challenges, stress, anxiety, and personal growth. Sessions balance insight with practical tools to build emotional resilience, deepen self-awareness, and foster meaningful change that carries into daily life.

I provide secure virtual therapy for couples and individuals throughout Pennsylvania and Virginia, offering accessible care from the comfort of your home. Whether you are preparing for parenthood, navigating pregnancy, adjusting to postpartum life, or seeking to strengthen your relationship, I provide a warm and collaborative space to support your journey toward connection, understanding, and lasting growth.

Background Info

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist offering individual therapy and couples counseling throughout Pennsylvania and Virginia. My work is shaped not only by my clinical training, but also by real life experience. Therapy with me is honest, collaborative, and rooted in understanding what it actually takes to live through hard seasons. I earned my master's degree in counseling with a concentration in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Messiah University, along with a bachelor’s degree in criminology from West Virginia University. My clinical training included supporting individuals impacted by crime at the Delaware County Victim Assistance Center and providing therapy at BCA Therapy. These experiences taught me how deeply stress, trauma, and relationship dynamics affect daily life, and how important it is to feel respected and understood in the therapy space. Before becoming a therapist, I worked closely with individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction and served as a law enforcement officer within the criminal justice system. This background allows me to stay calm and grounded when things feel intense. I am comfortable working with high conflict relationships, strong emotions, and situations that feel overwhelming or stuck. I am compassionately direct in my approach, helping you name patterns, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and move toward change without judgment. I am also a mother of two and live with 2 autoimmune diseases. These parts of my life have deepened my understanding of chronic stress, exhaustion, and the frustration of having your life shaped by circumstances you did not choose. I understand how identity shifts, relationship strain, and emotional overwhelm can show up during the postpartum period and beyond. I bring this perspective into therapy in a way that is practical, validating, and focused on what actually helps.I offer secure virtual therapy across Pennsylvania, making care accessible from the comfort of your home. Whether you are seeking individual therapy, couples counseling, postpartum support, or help navigating a challenging life transition, my goal is to walk alongside you with honesty, compassion, and steady support.
